Make sure our emails actually reach you.

Your security alerts, billing receipts, and account updates all come by email. If ours are landing in spam, here's how to fix that in about two minutes.

The three addresses to save

These are the only email addresses we'll ever use to contact you.

The first one is the important one. Save it as a safe sender or contact and our account emails skip the spam folder for good. The other two are optional.

no-reply@notify.getivorysafe.com
Account notifications: password activity, emergency contact alerts, billing
Essential
hello@news.getivorysafe.com
Product updates, tips, and news from the IvorySafe team
Optional
support@ivorysafe.com
Support replies (only after you email us with a question)
Optional
Why do these end in getivorysafe.com? That's really us. We send account and marketing email from a dedicated sending domain, getivorysafe.com, to keep the messages that matter most reliable. Support replies come from our main domain, ivorysafe.com. Separate sending systems mean an unsubscribe or spam report on one never affects the others.

Gmail

Works for both the Gmail app and gmail.com on the web

1
Rescue our emails from spam

If you already have IvorySafe emails in your spam folder, this teaches Gmail to trust us going forward.

  1. Open Gmail and click Spam in the left sidebar. On mobile, tap the menu icon first, then scroll down to Spam.
  2. Find any email from IvorySafe (look for a sender ending in @notify.getivorysafe.com, @news.getivorysafe.com, or @ivorysafe.com).
  3. Open the email, then click Report not spam at the top of the message. On mobile it's at the top of the message too. If you don't see it, tap the three-dot menu in the very top right corner of the screen (not the one next to the sender's name) and choose Report not spam.
  4. The email will move to your inbox, and Gmail will start letting future messages from that address through.
Do this for each address you see. If you only see one in spam right now, that's fine. The next steps will cover the others.
2
Add us to your contacts (the real fix)

Gmail almost always delivers messages from your contacts. Adding us here is the surest way to never miss another email.

  1. Go to contacts.google.com in a web browser.
  2. Click + Create contact in the top-left, then choose Create a contact.
  3. In the Email field, type: no-reply@notify.getivorysafe.com
  4. You can name it something like IvorySafe so it's easy to find later. Click Save.
  5. If you want the optional addresses covered too, repeat for hello@news.getivorysafe.com and support@ivorysafe.com.
3
Create a filter
Optional

You don't have to do this. But if you want to be extra sure, this tells Gmail to never send our emails to spam again — and it covers both of our sending addresses at once.

  1. In Gmail's search bar at the top, click the Filter icon (looks like sliders on the right side of the search bar).
  2. In the From field, type: getivorysafe.com
  3. Click Create filter at the bottom.
  4. Check the box that says Never send it to Spam.
  5. Click Create filter. Done.

Apple Mail

For iPhone, iPad, and Mac users

1
Move our emails out of Junk

Apple Mail calls the spam folder Junk. Moving our emails back to your inbox teaches it to trust us.

  1. Open the Mail app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Tap or click on Junk in your mailbox list. On iPhone, you may need to tap Mailboxes at the top first.
  3. Find any IvorySafe email (look for a sender ending in @notify.getivorysafe.com, @news.getivorysafe.com, or @ivorysafe.com).
  4. On iPhone/iPad: open the email and tap Move to Inbox. Moving it out of Junk is exactly how you tell Apple Mail the sender is safe. On Mac: right-click the email and choose MarkAs Not Junk Mail.
  5. The email will move to your inbox, and Mail will remember for next time.
2
Add us to your contacts

Emails from your contacts almost never get filtered as junk on Apple devices. The fastest way is straight from one of our emails.

  1. Open any email from IvorySafe in the Mail app.
  2. Tap the sender's name at the top of the email, then tap it again when it turns into a blue link.
  3. Tap View Contact Card.
  4. Scroll all the way down and tap Create New Contact.
  5. Name it IvorySafe and tap Done.
No IvorySafe email handy? You can also add us manually: open the Contacts app, tap +, name the contact IvorySafe, and add no-reply@notify.getivorysafe.com as the email. Add hello@news.getivorysafe.com and support@ivorysafe.com too if you want all three covered.
Bonus tip for iPhone users: If you have "Filter Unknown Senders" turned on (in Settings → Messages), adding us as a contact ensures our emails don't get hidden.

Outlook

Works for Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, and the Outlook desktop app

1
Rescue our emails from Junk Email

Outlook calls its spam folder Junk Email. Here's how to get our messages back and mark them as safe.

  1. Open Outlook and click on Junk Email in the left sidebar (web) or your folder list (desktop app).
  2. Find any IvorySafe email (look for a sender ending in @notify.getivorysafe.com, @news.getivorysafe.com, or @ivorysafe.com).
  3. Right-click the email and choose JunkNot junk. On the web, click the message and use the Not junk button at the top.
  4. When prompted, check Always trust emails from this sender, then click OK.
2
Add us to your safe senders list

This is Outlook's version of a permanent whitelist, and it covers both of our sending addresses at once.

  1. In Outlook on the web, click the gear icon in the top-right to open Settings.
  2. Go to MailJunk email.
  3. Under Safe senders and domains, click + Add.
  4. Type getivorysafe.com and press Enter. This covers both of our sending addresses. If you want support replies covered too, click + Add again and add ivorysafe.com.
  5. Click Save at the top.
3
Add us to your contacts
Optional

You don't need this if you did step 2, but it adds one more layer. Emails from contacts get through even the strictest filters.

  1. In Outlook, click People in the left sidebar (icon looks like two people).
  2. Click + New contact at the top.
  3. Enter IvorySafe as the name and no-reply@notify.getivorysafe.com as the email.
  4. Click Save. If you want the optional addresses covered too, repeat for hello@news.getivorysafe.com and support@ivorysafe.com.

Yahoo Mail

Web and mobile app

1
Rescue our emails from Spam

Yahoo lets you tell it that an email isn't spam. Do this at least once and future ones from us will start coming through.

  1. Open Yahoo Mail and click Spam in the left sidebar.
  2. Find any IvorySafe email (look for a sender ending in @notify.getivorysafe.com, @news.getivorysafe.com, or @ivorysafe.com).
  3. Check the box next to the email, then click Not Spam at the top.
  4. The email moves to your inbox. Yahoo takes note of the sender.
2
Add us to your contacts

Yahoo prioritizes messages from your contacts. This is the reliable long-term fix.

  1. In Yahoo Mail on the web, look for the Contacts icon (a person outline). It's usually in the panel on the right side of the screen.
  2. Click + New contact (or Add a new contact).
  3. Fill in the name as IvorySafe and the email as no-reply@notify.getivorysafe.com.
  4. Click Save. If you want the optional addresses covered too, repeat for hello@news.getivorysafe.com and support@ivorysafe.com.
3
Create a filter
Optional

You don't have to do this. But if you want guaranteed delivery, a filter always sends our emails to your inbox — and one filter covers both sending addresses.

  1. Click the gear icon in the top-right, then More Settings.
  2. Click Filters in the left menu, then + Add new filters.
  3. Name it IvorySafe. In the From field, choose contains and type getivorysafe.com.
  4. Under Choose a folder to move to, pick Inbox.
  5. Click Save.

iCloud Mail

@icloud.com and @me.com addresses on the web

1
Rescue our emails from Junk

iCloud calls the spam folder Junk. Moving our emails out is the first step.

  1. Sign in at icloud.com/mail.
  2. Click Junk in the sidebar.
  3. Find any IvorySafe email and open it.
  4. Click Move to Inbox (or Not Junk, whichever you see). Moving it out of Junk tells iCloud the sender is safe.
2
Add us to your VIPs or contacts

Adding us as a contact means iCloud almost never sends our emails to Junk.

  1. On iCloud.com, click the app switcher in the top-right and choose Contacts.
  2. Click the + icon at the bottom and choose New Contact.
  3. Enter IvorySafe as the name and no-reply@notify.getivorysafe.com as the email.
  4. Click Done. If you want the optional addresses covered too, repeat for hello@news.getivorysafe.com and support@ivorysafe.com.
Even better: if you're on your iPhone, open the email from IvorySafe, tap the sender name at the top, then tap Add to VIP. VIP senders get their own special folder and always deliver.
3
Create a mail rule
Optional

You don't have to do this. But for the most stubborn spam filters, a rule guarantees delivery — and one rule covers both sending addresses.

  1. On iCloud.com Mail, click the gear icon (near your mailbox list) and choose Settings.
  2. Go to Rules, then Add a Rule.
  3. Set: If a message is from getivorysafe.com, then Move to Folder → Inbox.
  4. Click Done.

Proton Mail

The privacy-first email service

1
Move our emails out of Spam

Proton is aggressive about filtering. But once you tell it a sender is safe, it remembers.

  1. Open Proton Mail (web or app) and click Spam in the sidebar.
  2. Find any IvorySafe email and open it.
  3. Click Move to inbox (not spam) in the toolbar. Depending on your version it may just say Not spam.
2
Add us to your allowlist

Proton's version of a safe senders list. This tells Proton to never filter our emails.

  1. Click Settings (gear icon in the top-right), then All settings.
  2. Go to Filters, then click the Allow list tab.
  3. Click + Add and type no-reply@notify.getivorysafe.com.
  4. Click Save. If you want the optional addresses covered too, repeat for hello@news.getivorysafe.com and support@ivorysafe.com.
Note: Proton requires exact email addresses (not domains), so each one has to be added separately. If you only add one, make it no-reply@notify.getivorysafe.com.
3
Add us to your contacts
Optional

You don't need this if you did step 2, but it adds one more layer. Contacts almost never get filtered as spam.

  1. In Proton Mail, click Contacts in the sidebar (or open contacts.proton.me).
  2. Click + New contact.
  3. Enter IvorySafe as the name and no-reply@notify.getivorysafe.com as the email.
  4. Click Save. If you want the optional addresses covered too, repeat for hello@news.getivorysafe.com and support@ivorysafe.com.
